The chapel, which stands at the end of a steep climb, was completed around 1623 and houses the scene of the Crucifixion, which is represented in a very theatrical way with a very tall wooden cross that is being set up. Next to it are the crosses of the two thieves and around them are more than fifty statues made by Dionigi Bussola
(1661-1668). This scene is enhanced by the tumult painted on the wall, signed and dated by Antonio Busca in 1668.
