The Altenwörth power plant is a Danube run-of-river power plant in the Altenwörth cadastral community of Kirchberg am Wagram in Lower Austria, around 20 kilometers below Krems. The most powerful Austrian Danube power plant was built between 1973 and 1976 and belongs to the Lower Danube plant group.
