Hiking
Gurkha regiments from the British Indian Army served in both World Wars. No fewer than 100,000 Gurkhas were deployed during the First World War. They did not only fight on the battlefields in Belgium and France. In Turkey, Palestine, Egypt, Persia and in Mesopotamia (modern Iraq), the Gurkhas also fought side by side with other Allied troops.
