These giant bushes with thick straight trunks are shaped like candelabra. When they bloom they decorate the landscape with flowers and red fruit . Inside they contain white, sticky, very toxic liquid, called latex. This species, known as cardõn, forms a small habitat, that is unique in the world. They provide ideal refuge for numerous insects and plants.
