This dry valley is located east of the Wijngaardberg on the slightly sloping agricultural area. Dry valleys were formed during (inter)glacials when the water from melting snow and ice found its way through the landscape. When the ice had retreated, these valleys were no longer (always) water-bearing. However, during heavy rainfall the valley can still occasionally carry water.
