Located directly on the city wall, the Stadtborn is now a somewhat hidden place. In the Middle Ages it was one of the most important places in the Steinaus, as the only secure spring within the city was located here. According to tradition, this was a favorite playground of the Grimm brothers (although this is a bit questionable, as the spring was not exactly a children's playground as a water dispenser and washing place).
