      At least in the high season, the market in Fisherman's Village is open three days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). Here, you can find everything a tourist might desire: souvenirs, clothing, toys, Thai food, snacks, fried grasshoppers, music, cocktails, etc. Prices are adjusted for tourists but are still reasonable. As an example, for getting there from Lamai, you can hail one of the shared taxis and hop on at the back, but remember to ask for the price beforehand, which should be around 500 baht. A normal taxi is usually too expensive. For the return trip, do the same, or better yet, order a private taxi via Grab. The taxi mafia around Fisherman's Village is quite pronounced, and you should not accept every price.
