      The golden chedi of the magnificent Wat Khao Hua Jook can be admired from afar. The impressive temple is located on a hill directly behind Lake Chaweng and offers a wonderful panoramic view over the town of Chaweng to the south as well as to Samui Airport and across to the neighboring island of Koh Phangan in the north.

        Also known simply as "Wat Chaweng", the Golden Pagoda is located on a hilltop just north of Chaweng Lake. After sunset, the brightly lit pagoda can be seen from afar. At the entrance, 20 baht (€0.50) is due, then you can enjoy the beautiful view of the town of Chaweng, Lake Chaweng and the airport on the other side and the neighboring island of Koh Phangan. A pretty prayer hall with various statues is also located on the temple grounds.
