The exhibition pavilion 'Kraftwerk 1898' shows the pioneering spirit and the founding spirit of the late nineteenth century. It is located near the site of the old hydropower plant Rheinfelden - which was one of the oldest hydroelectric power plants in Europe. The oldest river power plant in Europe (1898) had to give way to a new one. I was allowed to visit it when I was at school. If at all possible, take the time to visit the small museum on the site of the old power station as a reminiscence of the historic building.
