The ascent (and descent) is well secured by steel cables. Surefootedness is still required!

It is best to go down this passage. And starts the excursion on the Hohe Ifen via the Schwarzwasserhütte and the climbing passage on the south side of the Ifen Plateau.

Beautiful mountain tour that fascinates every alpinist. The Ifen is a must-see for hikers in the Kleinwalsertal or Oberstdorf, but length and level of difficulty should not be underestimated, you should definitely be sure-footed and a bit dizzy! 👍🏻

Take something to drink as there is no hut on the route. And only when it is not raining, otherwise the descent is critical and you have to enjoy the view in good weather.

Super mountain tour with a descent over the Schwarzwassertal.

Easy ascent towards Gottesacker karst plateau, then crossing the scree field. The steep ascent with wire ropes to the Ifenscharte between the mighty rock walls is easier than it looks from below. However, surefootedness should be available, especially on the descent. Above the walls it goes over a comfortable grass slope to the summit with a great view.

A crisp climb over many stones. You should be sure-footed and have enough stamina. At the top you will be rewarded with a great view.

The Hohe Ifen is a must-see in the region. The distant view from the summit is unique. Whether by train or without, the Hahnenköpfle should definitely be made. Two peaks on one tour :-) Very nice the little climbing part when climbing to the summit.

Very nice climb to the summit of the Hohe Ifen. The climb offers some even via ferrata segments. However, a lot of boulder field has to be run.

First easy ascent towards Gottesacker karst plateau, then crossing of the scree field. The steep ascent with wire ropes to the Ifenscharte between the mighty rock walls is easier than it looks from below. However, surefootedness should be available, especially on the descent. Above the walls it goes over a comfortable grass slope to the summit with a great panoramic view.
