This park was originally the garden of a notary house, owned by the Haffmans family. This house, in neo-rococo style, is still privately owned. The Demer irrigates the site from south to north and forms the backbone of the construction. The arched bridge over the Demer with a gate to the garden of the former notary's house in Brugstraat may still be left over from the older construction.
