The Treasury Building, formerly known as the New Public Offices, is a heritage-listed former public administration building. It was built for the Queensland Government from 1886 to 1928. During the 1890s and early 1900s, the imposing Treasury Building served as a symbol of self-government and a focal point for celebratory and patriotic displays.
From 1995 to 2024, the building was occupied by the Treasury Casino and owned by the Star Entertainment Group. In September 2024, Griffith University announced it would purchase the building to use as a new inner-city teaching campus.
