Between the church square and the stone road there is a small park full of small heritage and history gems in the shadow of the church. Several circular areas have been laid out between beautiful small flower beds. For example, there is a section dedicated to war victims, but different from what I have ever seen elsewhere: a monument for a crashed plane, various memorials, grenades from the war, statues, gravestones, very well done. Furthermore, a beautiful statue for the residents who died in the explosion of the Tessenderlo factory. There is also a bust of the man who started a lot of historical work in the village. Just next to the church there are two panels printed on both sides full of information about the history of the village, the fallen, the fire of the church and much more. Really well done by the historical circle and more than enough seating space to all sit down quietly, albeit with the noise of the traffic. Those who want more can also view the church, the statue of Christ and the brick pump. You just have to stroll around here if you have any interest in the war and history in general. Well done.
