In the spring of 1926, construction work began on an outdoor swimming pool in the area of the municipality of Petershagen on the border with Fredersdorf directly on the Mühlenfließ. A bathing establishment was built that was 100 m long, 28 m wide and an average depth of approx. 2.0 m. The bathing establishment was opened on May 15, 1926. There was space for up to 2,000 bathers, there was a diving tower with 5 boards and a slide. If necessary, used water was replaced with fresh water from the river using valves. The inflows and outflows can still be seen today. After it was closed in 1942, people started swimming again after the war, and children from Petershagen and Fredersdorf in particular continued to romp around here until the 1960s.

Today there is not much left to see of the former bathing establishment. The lawn has become overgrown with wild growth and at the beginning of the 2000s the former bathing establishment was a silted pond. With funding from the municipality of Petershagen-Eggersdorf, the silt was dredged at the end of 2006 in order to renaturate the water area. However, there are no plans to restore the bathing establishment.

A path now leads along the bank of the former bathing area, which begins at the river bridge and ends at a property entrance near the railway crossing. This means you don't have to walk along the street.
