This is a lovely section of trail where the River Calder plunges through a series of small waterfalls. The path here forms a part of Newtonmore's Wildcat Trail, a 6-mile (10 km) loop of the village that's adorned with 132 painted model wildcats. There are some great spots here for viewing the Calder.

Beautiful gorge where the river Calder struggles through. The path runs above the river and both canyon walls are overgrown with trees and shrubs. This makes it sometimes difficult to admire the rapids in the river.
