From here you have good views of the 15 m high Bismarck Tower, which stands in the distance on the 536 m high Kummel.

The Bismarck Tower is a popular tourist destination in Bad Lauterberg. It was built in 1904 on the initiative of the medical officer August Tischmann and is made of natural stone and brick.

A relief of Bismarck made in the bronze foundry is located halfway up the tower's entrance.

On the top of the tower there was a fire bowl, which was removed in 1987.

During the restaurant's opening hours, the tower can be accessed via a 60-step stone staircase

and an 11-step metal staircase.

The building was completely renovated in 2000.

The Bismarck Tower is located on the Harzer Baudensteig and is best reached from the car park on Lönsweg.
