Hiking

Until 1990, the railway line from Lehrte towards Hildesheim ran south directly behind the platforms. This route hindered the east-west and north-south route because the crossing was at the same level. The new route initially runs parallel to the route to Braunschweig to the east and then turns south. The track coming from the south is led to Lehrte with an overpass without crossing. In an arc, the route between Lehrte and Sehnde meets its old track again.
