Location: Burgdorf, Region Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany
The still young church was rebuilt around 1800 after a fire. The tower, which can be seen from afar, is 55 meters high. The church is located directly in the city center of Burgdorf on the so-called Spittaplatz there.
The church barely escaped renewed destruction in WWII. In the last days of the war, aerial bombs hit the rectory and the district court right next to it. The rectory was completely destroyed - the district court was only hit on one outer wall. The church was spared.
