Stalag Luft I Memorial

Stalag-Luft I: Stammlager I of the Luftwaffe is a former prisoner-of-war camp from World War II for Allied Luftwaffe members. Memorial with informative panels, photos around a map. Along the concrete road there are steelworks for the marking of the former partial warehouses. Barcodes are available on the individual bars, which provide further information.

The Luftwaffe prisoner of war camp was located here during the Nazi era: Stalag Luft 1. It was divided into several sub-camps. Today, at the various corners of the camp, there are small granite pillars with QR codes through which you can learn different stories from the camp.
This is where the main memorial is today, with a large boulder and information board. All texts are available in German and English.
