The church was almost completely renovated in 1852 under the architecture of Eugene Gife, but the columns of the earlier Gothic church were retained. The late Gothic brick tower also remained unchanged. This tower, which dates from the end of the 15th century, is 55 meters high and contains ornaments made of iron sandstone. It has five sections.
