This group of beeches between Schwarzburg and Sitzendorf, on the nature trail Heinrich Cotta, used to consist of nine trees. Four of them are now gone, the others are about 30-37 m high and about 225 years old. The largest, felled years ago, is still near the crossroads. Earlier here met the Sitzendorfer youth.

Hiking

Distinctive signpost on the tour to the Sitzendorfblick and Ines Ruh. If you choose the path past these vantage points, you will reach Sitzendorf via the "Prince Anna Blick". Worthwhile route! But be careful: there is a steep ascent in front of the " Sitzendorfblick " and an impressive serpentine path over rock on the descent. Good physical condition and sure-footedness should be in your luggage.
