The alternative counterpart to the classic institutions in the city center is the "Red Factory", beautifully situated on Lake Zurich.
The well-known cultural center combines concerts, art interventions, film and theater performances on socio-political and cultural-political topics under one roof.
The "Shedhalle", an institution for contemporary and critical art, and the restaurant Ziegel oh Lac are also housed on the site of the "Rote Fabrik".
