Wernigerode-Westerntor station is one of the most important stations on the Harz Narrow Gauge Railways. It is located about one kilometer from the terminus of the Harzquerbahn at Wernigerode Central Station. In its immediate vicinity is the historic city center of the "Colorful City on the Harz". The picturesque half-timbered house ensemble can be reached from Westerntor station in just a few minutes on foot.
