First you drive with a cable car that belongs to public transport to Jenesin, then you pedal about 360 HM on tar and then the deep intoxication begins. But be careful: the trail is really only for bikers who know what they are doing! S2-S3, extremely steep, so that you sometimes slide, but just brilliant. In the lower part there is a field with wild ear cacti, some of which have even blossomed.
If it is too cold above, the Jenesin and Kohlern enduro trails are a feast for the experienced biker.

As always a super nice tour. This time in moderate weather with occasional rain and drizzle. We didn't really get wet because it wasn't enough for it or we took a break from the hut.
Forest stretches are bad when the ground is wet, since the trails are sometimes like soft soap. Really impassable in some places. Just a few hours of sun were missing, then everything would have been great again. So it was a special challenge in some places.

From Selva we are on the old train path to Ortisei. Then by cable car to the Alpe di Siusi and over Compatch and Goldknopf on a steep climb (push 1.5km) to the Tierser Alpl. From there down to Saltria, up with the Florian Lift and then back to Selva via Monta Pana. (Alternatively, you can drive from Saltria on steep forest roads to Monte Pana.)In total a good 1000hm uphill and over 2000hm downhill.
Unfortunately a bit on the dirt road, but you will be rewarded with incredible views on every corner. If the climb to the Tierser Alpl is too steep, you will save a lot of vertical meters, but also the feeling of having missed the highest point in the Val Gardena that can be reached by bike.

Today we were lazier because yesterday the tour was quite demanding for the first day.
There is a 3 hour ticket for 30 euros. If you drive to Plan de Gralba (above Selva) it makes sense. From Selva the gondola up to Sassolungo and then the entry makes more sense because you have a little tour. Then the day ticket is probably 47 Euro cheaper and you are not bound to the 3 hours in the bike park.Komoot's pictures are all mixed up. Sorry!
