The Kaiserturm is a lookout tower on the 477.8 m above sea level. NHN high Armeleuteberg, which rises south of the core city of Wernigerode in the Saxon-Anhalt district of Harz. The tower was designed by Prince Stolbergian architect Paul Kilburger, financed by the Wernigerode hotelier Eduard Lührmann and erected between May 29 and September 1, 1902 in honor of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The building blocks are mainly from the Königsberg Quarry near Schierke. In 1992 the 12 m high tower was completely renovated and made accessible again. The view from the tower extends to the northern Harz up to Brocken, the Büchenberg and the Harburg. Particularly striking is the view to Wernigerode with the castle Wernigerode.Since 2014, the Kaiserturm as Rapunzelturm is the end of the Wernigerode Fairytale Trail, which runs from the Hasseröder Ferienpark to the Armeleutepark.(Source: Wikipedia)
