The impressive Gut Damp was built in 1595 in the Renaissance style. The magnificent ten meter high entrance hall is particularly worth seeing. Wonderful piecework and furniture from around 1700 make the ensemble perfect. The baroque-style garden is also a real eye-catcher.

In the estate there is also the upscale restaurant kuhhaus with first-class dishes.

Hiking

The estate is privately owned and can not be entered. The entrance portal is always worth seeing, once you're in the area. The first tenant mentioned in the sources was an Eler Schmidt in 1438. He was obliged to clear the forest and build a house where he could accommodate episcopal hunters. The name Damp appears for the first time in a sales document from the year 1517.
