On December 5, 1968, the community decided to design a holiday center under the futuristic name Damp 2000. Mid-1980s, it was renamed in Ostseebad Damp. In 2011 there was a new name change in Ostsee Resort Damp.
The company belongs to the Helios clinics. Even during the construction phase, the original concept of purely tourist use of all houses was expanded to include a comprehensive clinical part. It originated the Ostseeklinik Damp (1974) and the cure clinic, later rehab clinic (1974/1975).

The place by the mobile snack stands and behind it the large buoy with an ideal view of the harbor and beach can be reached barrier-free. With a cloudless sky ideal for sunrise observations or a snapshot.
