'Candi Bubrah' is a formerly ruined 9th or 10th century Buddhist temple located between 'Candi Sewu' and 'Candi Lumbung' in the Prambanan Archaeological Park. The name “Bubrah” is the Javanese word for “destroyed” and is not the original name of the temple.
The temple was extensively restored using the existing ruins and the missing parts were replaced with new volcanic rock. The rebuilt temple was inaugurated in 2017.
