The current theater comes from the reconstruction in 1866 of a previous building built in 1824 and destroyed by fire. Of this building only the arcades of the lower part of the facade remain, the difference in materials used is the origin of the presence of two distinct color tones.Dedicated since the 20th century to the Savoyard actor and director Charles Dullin, the theater has the national scene label with the Espace Malraux. The building has been the subject of a partial registration as well as a classification as a historic monument since 1984 and 1986 respectively. In addition, its proscenium curtain is also the subject of a classification as of French movable heritage.Source: Wikipedia
