We invite you to visit the 800-year-old cultural monument Gut Basthorst and leave the hustle and bustle of the city behind.At Gut Basthorst, there is traditional agriculture and forestry alongside modern-use former stables and the manor house for weddings, company celebrations, conferences, trade fairs, concerts and markets.
Above all, our atmospheric, traditional spring, autumn and Christmas markets attract many thousands of visitors every year.
In addition, you can enjoy fresh, regional dishes all year round in our estate restaurant and the rose garden behind it and end the evening in one of the individually furnished hotel rooms on the farm or in one of the holiday apartments.
The estate with its more than 30 buildings has meanwhile become home to several medium-sized companies and dealers as well as a distillery, a gunsmith's shop, an antiques dealer, a Swedish whiskey cask store and a restoration workshop. Their exclusive, often handmade goods are manufactured and sold here on site.Whatever the occasion brings you to us, we look forward to your visit!

A fine, well-kept old estate from the 13th century. Here you can see that agriculture can still be fun today and yield if you know what you are doing.

One of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Northern Germany. Big, well organized and very well visited you can spend really nice hours here.

Good Basthorst has become famous far beyond the borders of the village as far as Hamburg. A variety of events, an exemplary leadership and great care of the estate, a farm market, various companies in the yard, from gunsmiths to interior design to the distillery - all worth a visit worth seeing.
