On the Deira side, right at the Abra Station "Deira Old Souk Abra Station" lies the Spice Souk. As the name implies, this souk is all about spices. In large sacks are sold Arabic but also international, mostly from Iran, spices. The prices are a bit adapted to the tourism but all in all, much cheaper than in Germany. So if you do not visit one of the big supermarkets during your visit to Dubai, you can stock up on some tasty and meaningful souvenirs in the spice souk. As in all Arabian markets, you should not forget to bargain here. If you are skilled, discounts of 50-60% and more are quite possible. My tip, buy several spices in a store to get the best total price.
