The church in the castle park, built in 1736, is probably the most important historical building in Buchs as well as the only remnant of the town's manorial castle. After the church was destroyed by a bomb attack in World War II, the simplified reconstruction took place between 1950 and 1953, with the exception of the tower.
Today the magnificent building houses the Evangelical parish of Buch. A support association is supporting the municipality in the planned reconstruction of the tower.

After the baroque church was severely damaged in World War II, it was partially reconstructed from 1950 to 1953, leaving the tower intact. However, the renovation and reconstruction of the tower is in the planning stage.
The East Berlin magistrate was indifferent to the Orangery and Palace buildings, which were only slightly damaged in the war, and had them torn down in 1955 and 1964. A comprehensive facade restoration of the church took place from 1995 to 2000.
