Great building with beautiful columns in the front which makes it stand out. There is another fountain in the foreground.

The Presidential Palace was built by the Napoleon-friendly Prince Primate Karl Theodor von Dalberg in 1804/05 by the court architect Emanuel Herigoyen. It was intended to serve as representative accommodation for the French Chargé d'Affaires at the Imperial Diet, Theobald Jacques Justin Baron de Bacher. After Regensburg became part of Bavaria and the seat of the Regenkreis in 1810, the district president lived here; hence the name "Presidential Palace." The building later became the headquarters of the Lower Bavaria-Upper Palatinate State Police Directorate until 2009. In 2010, the building was purchased by the city of Regensburg and extensively restored starting in 2011. Since the renovation, it has housed the House of Music. The Regensburg Theater plans to establish a children's and youth theater here in addition to the planned singing and music school. Independent music groups and clubs will also be able to use the House of Music.
