The Rose Garden (Hollandsche Hof) was created in 1926 as a botanical collection garden of the agricultural economics school and contained 50 rose varieties.

The rose garden was mainly created for didactic reasons. The most common rose varieties were chosen, which were easy for owners of city gardens to grow themselves. The permanent delegation appealed for sponsorship to plant the rose garden.
The Rose Garden was redesigned in 1989-1990.
Until the start of the renovation works 2019 - 2020, the rose garden was divided into five parts: large rose beds located in a lawn, smaller beds bordered with boxwood, a pergola with mainly climbing roses, borders on the long north and south sides of the rose garden and a raised border with scented roses.

With approximately 8,400 rose bulbs of 340 different varieties, the Rivierenhof rose garden provided a good overview of the different groups of roses, their scents and colors for three decades.

There is even a rose 'Rosa Rivierenhof', which has won international prizes.
The rose garden is a feast for the eyes of park visitors all year round.
