The legendary spring jetty, built in 1911, is the only access to open water - because the lake is surrounded by a broad, impenetrable reed belt, retreat area for many rare birds.

The spring jetty starts in Bad Buchau directly at the large spring lake parking lot near the nature conservation center and spring lake museum. From there, a 1.5 km long wooden walkway with plenty of seating leads to the visitor platform in the Federsee. On it you can walk through the different habitats litter meadow, reed, shore and water. The jetty is suitable for pushchairs. Since the new building in winter 2010, it is also passable for wheelchair users. Bicycles are not allowed.

On about half of the jetty there is a lookout point where you can also lie down in the rain.

The jetty leads to the open lake. the walk across the pier through the reeds is the pure balm for the soul. On an observation tower you can enjoy the hustle and bustle on the lake. If you want, you can take a boat trip at the end of the jetty.

Think about sunscreen, because there is no shadow around.

The jetty is easy to walk on (caution: risk of slipping when wet!) And offers beautiful views over the Federsee and everything that lives there 😄
Particularly suitable for families with children!

If you take a bike ride around the mistake you make or a hike you should also make a short detour on the peninsula jetty.

The Federsee nature reserve is a highlight in itself! The bog, the spell forest that grows on the boggy subsoil and the lake itself offer unique insights into the sensitive ecosystem of a bog.
The many information boards illustrate the living space and a lot of history for the whole family!

very nice tour, but in summer I find it more beautiful than in autumn! Afterwards you can go hiking in the not too distant Wackelwald also a great tour.

Interesting footbridge through the biosphere reserve to the edge of the Federnsee. The ticket office is closed in the low season.
