After 65 years, the island of Mors regained one of its largest lakes in 1991. The "Legind Lake" was renatured in 1991 as a 27 ha large freshwater lake. The lake and the adjacent meadows are an important habitat for wild plants and animals on Mors, and the lake has become very important for bird life. In spring and autumn, many migratory birds visit the lake.
