The route to Hesselbach is wonderfully quiet and currently (04/2018) in good condition. The descent down to Schöllenbach, past the Eutersee, is narrow but very fast. If you like, you can cool off in the small Eutersee - lasting refreshment is guaranteed here, the lake does not lose its bottom ice even in the hottest summer ;-) . The view from the crossroads to Hesselbach is great, especially in spring and winter, when the leaves are still thin or absent.
