On the circular route around Lake Eggesiner See there are 20 display boards that provide hikers with interactive information about the development of the area and the regional flora and fauna, including indigenous butterfly species. The regular occurrence of the green imperial coat is unique in Germany.

From the middle of the 19th century, there was an estate here with a house and two stables. After that, it was a forester's house. Today, a beautiful rest area has been created here, which is now known as the butterfly clearing after its new design.
