This gate probably dates from the 15th century. Its name, which can be found in writings from the 16th century, is the old name for thieves. At the foot of this gate a boat picked up the convicted criminals and took them to the other side of the bay.

This gate likely dates back to the walls built in the 15th century. Its name, found in texts as early as the 16th century, is the old French word for thieves. Indeed, from below this gate, convicted criminals were taken by boat across the bay to the foot of the hill at Le Passage, where the gallows were located. It was walled up for more than three centuries and was restored to its present state in 1991.
