Start Hoesch-Hafenbahnweg at Phönixsee. The starting point can be easily reached via the Seehöhe road.Historically, from 1907 to 2002, a Dortmund small railway ran on the former disused freight route between the Phoenix factory in Dortmund Hörde and the Westfalenhütte. In 1953 the line was connected to the harbor railway, with which it formed an operational unit.
