Walking just above Middleark Scar, where Little Fell (559m) is, offers tremendous views of Mallerstang Edge (towards the east) on the other side of the valley. A particularly striking spot is very close to the summit, where the three cairns seem to look from high above over the valley like some three wise men of a bygone era.
