Ooh err, grit your teeth. As soon as you are under the railway bridge, the road kicks up steeply. The vicious slope doesn't last too long although the respite is barely noticeable. Eventually the is a break in the punishment, then just when you are getting comfortable, there is another dig. Nothing like the start though, if you've got this far you'll be ok.

Tough climb up from Garsdale Station, Garsdale Head is #73 of the top 100 climbs and takes you over The Coal Road, beautiful scenery so well worth the climb
