The Igreja de Nossa Senhora das Ondas in Tavira, Portugal, is a 16th-century church built by fishermen and sailors in honor of their patron saint. It combines Renaissance and Baroque elements and features a remarkable painted wooden ceiling from 1765. After being damaged by the 1755 earthquake, the church was restored and is now recognized as a cultural heritage site and a symbol of Tavira's maritime history.
