Former fishing village, it belongs to the district of Tavira and is located directly on the Ria Formosa.

Cabanas is home to many cafes, restaurants and holiday apartments along the waterfront. Thanks to its location right on the water, Cabanas is in great demand, especially in the high season, because from here you have the possibility to go by boat to the "Ilha de Cabanas de Tavira".

The lagoon is already very narrow at this point and so you are in no time on a more than 8 km long sandy beach, characterized by dunes, which are fantastic for eye and soul. For long walks, water sports and swimming a true paradise. Formations of sand rise up to 30 meters in height. This beach has been awarded several times by the award of the "Blue Flag".

Our holiday in Golden Club in Cabanas was still quiet and not too busy for the end of May. The transfer to the beach was free for hotel guests. The kilometer-long beach was practically deserted and the waves were not that strong. Unfortunately, there were no umbrellas on the beach.
