The city of Jerash is located in northern Jordan. Here are the ruins of the ancient Greco-Roman city of Gerasa. Gerasa showcases the splendor of Imperial Rome (and is sometimes referred to as the Pompeii of the East). It is considered one of the best-preserved sites of Roman architecture from late antiquity outside of Italy.
