Sihang warehouse is located on the north side of Suzhou Creek (or Wusong River).
Sihang warehouse and its defense was an important part of the Battle of Shanghai in 1937, when fierce fighting took place between the Japanese invaders and Chinese defenders in full sight of the western nations from the concessions across the river.
The warehouse is now a memorial and museum.
