Cold, but sunny. Used this wonderful day to go out to Tianma Mountain and walk (can not call it a hike) up to the leaning pagoda atop the (tiny) mountain.
Tianma is located to the southwest of the city center in Songjiang District. Covered in forest it makes for a great walk, though it is a constant up

I guess the photos of the 1000 tori gates are iconic ... but the hardly never show how many people are here 😬

Only had limited time, so did not manage to do the complete hike, only a small circle. Despite the many tourists, definitely a highlight and a re must

A day trip to Koyasan, an active monastic center for around twelve centuries and a UNESCO World Heritige Site since 2004.
Taking the train from Osaka Namba station to Gokurakubashi, then change into a cablecar (funicular) up to Koyasan Station. Although it is called Koyasan station you are not there yet
Meet up with my wife in Chuansha for a noontime walk and lunch at 'that' noodle restaurant we had been to before. Also a brief visit at the former residence of Huang Yanpei.
