What I could research: Wenchang Palace was built around 1600, during the Ming Dynasty, as was a cultural center of Jinqiao, now Pudong. It has been recently restored and, as of Nov 2023, the surrounding area is still undergoing construction and gardening work. My guess is that by Feb/Mar 2024 the temple will be set inside a park - and will be a nice destination.

From what I could figure out: Wenchang Palace was built during the Ming Dynasty (around 1600) and was a cultural center of Jinqiao, now Pudong. It appears to have been just recently restored/re-decorated and the surrounding area is still undergoing construction and gardening work. Seems the surrounding area will be turned into a park.
