The associated tunnel is buried opposite the bridge.
Since copper ore was also mined around the Lüderich, it is obvious that the name Kupfersiefen has a connection to this.
The last shift was carried out on the Lüderich on October 27, 1978. It is not clear when mining stopped in the Kupfersiefer Valley.
