Designed by Davies & Brooke Architects and built in 1931, this theater is located on the intersection of Maoming Road and Changle Road. Named ‘Shanghai Arts Center’ in 1952 and returned to its original name in 1991, it is now a protected heritage building.
I also found some information indicating that the Lyceum Theater was initially founded in 1866/67 in a nearby street, yet the building burned down in 1870. In 1874 the theater then relocated to this location. I could not otherwise verify this, but if this is correct, then this must be a later building.
